ILIGAN CITY, Feb. 4 (PIA ICCC) -The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) clarifies that the people will continue to receive equal access to programs and services of the national government even if the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) is already implemented in Lanao del Norte, according to Ms. Evelyn Madrio of DSWD-10.

Madrio said during the information drive on the Republic Act No. 11054 or the Bangsamoro Organic Law on Saturday, Feb. 2, that the agency always adheres to its mandate and vision to free the Filipinos from hunger and poverty through the implementation of its projects and programs.

“DSWD assures the residents of all municipalities in Lanao del Norte that all the programs, projects, and services that we are implementing right now will continue,” Madrio stressed.

“Like the Pantawid Pilipino Program, expect that when you have already reached the sub-sufficiency after the evaluation, then you have to be graduated from the program. But as long as your children are under 18 years old, they continue to benefit from the program,” Madrio added.

“We would like to refute the news that all these programs and services will be terminated when the BOL transitions are already in place; it is really fake news,” Madrio stated.

DSWD’s services include Kalahi CIDSS – NCDDP, Sustainable Livelihood Program Listahanan, Supplemental Feeding Program, Protective Services Program, Disaster Response Operations and many more. (LJKabagani/PIA ICCC)
