ILIGAN CITY, May 4 (PIA-ICCC) – Government’s performance on Marawi rehabilitation and recovery contributed to President Rodrigo Duterte’s record high satisfaction rating on the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey.

According to SWS, one of the 11 specific performance subjects of the survey is  “Reconstructing Marawi City,” which earned President Duterte +58 translated as “very good.”

Other performance subjects include ‘Helping the poor’ with a new record-high of +72, ‘Fighting terrorism with +58,’ Fighting crimes with earned him +48, ‘Reconciling with communist rebels’ with a new record-high of +45, ‘Reconciling with Muslim rebels’ with +44, ‘Eradicating graft and corruption’ with +41, ‘Foreign relations’ got +41, ‘Defending Philippine sovereignty in the West Philippines Sea earned him +40, ‘Ensuring that no family will ever be hungry’ gave him +37, and ‘Fighting inflation’ contributed +22 satisfaction rating.

The survey says that 81% of Adult Filipinos are satisfied with President Duterte who got +72 net satisfaction classified as ‘excellent’, a new record high, and 6 points higher than the +66 or “very good” rating reported by SWS in December 2018.

SWS conducted the survey from March 28-31, this year using face-to-face interviews of 1,440 adult Filipinos in Balance Luzon, Metro Manila, Visayas and Mindanao and released the results Friday night.

On the recent earthquake briefing held at San Fernando City in Pampanga, Duterte acknowledged the efforts of Task Force Bangon Marawi (TFBM) chairperson and Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) Secretary Eduardo del Rosario on the swift construction of temporary shelters for the displaced families in the war-torn city.
