MARAWI CITY, Aug. 9 (PIA ICCC) – The Task Force Bangon Marawi (TFBM) has started the Kathanor profiling for renters from the most affected area (MAA) specifically those who are from Bubonga Lilod Madaya, Kapantaran, Lumbaca Madaya (Poblacion), and Sangcay Dansalan.

The profiling aims to register the residence and business renters in MAA who have settled in Marawi before the siege and who do not own the land and/or dwelling of location, and/or are engaged in business.

The residence renters include those families/households who are permanent residents of Marawi or who have settled in Marawi but do not own a parcel of land at MAA.

The business renters, on the other hand, include those families/ households who were renting spaces/buildings for their business establishments at MAA prior to the siege and who are included in the master list of renters.

Utilizing biometric feature, the Kathanor profiling for renters is based on a Master list submitted by the local government units of Marawi.

Below is the list of the requirements needed for the profiling of renters.

TFBM Field Office Manager Assistant Felix Castro Jr. shared that that only families who had rented houses or business establishments would be profiled.

“Yung residence renters, pamilya nag-uupa ng bahay ng may ari. Pero kailangan buong pamilya nag-uupa, kung isang tao lang, hindi considered. At yung may business nag-uupa ng commercial stall at nagbabayad ng upa,” said Castro.

(Those residence renters, families who rent houses. However, it should be a complete family who rents, if only one person, it is not considered. And also those who have business renting commercial stall and pay rental fees.)

Ramona Palagawad of Bubonga Lilod Madaya is optimistic that Kathanor will help them gain livelihood opportunities in the future.

“Maraming salamat sa TFBM. Malaking tulong ito sa amin para makakuha kami ng kabuhayan at makabangon kami,” said Palagawad.

(We are grateful to TFBM. This is a big help to us and hopefully we could receive livelihood support so that we can recover.)

Below is the schedule of the profiling for August.
