MARAWI CITY, Aug. 13 (PIA ICCC) – The City government of Marawi has recently launched a cleanliness campaign dubbed “Limpiyo A Marawi” in a simultaneous cleanup drive in all 72 barangays including the transitory shelters.
This initiative is geared towards dengue prevention and control, and in support of the Solid Waste Management program of the local government.
Different government line agencies such as the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and Philippine National Police (PNP) together with barangay chairpersons and barangay councilors participated in the said event.
In an interview with Dr. Ali Dalidig, city health officer, he disclosed that they had coordinated with the medical director of the Amai Pakpak Medical Center to establish an express lane for patients with dengue cases who need immediate medical attention.
“Kung may sintomas ng dengue, magpasuri sa rural health facilities para mabigyan ng lunas,” said Dalidig.
