ILIGAN CITY, Aug. 27 (PIA ICCC) – To be able to cater to the complaints from the internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Marawi City against receiving expired goods/items, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has established grievance desk allowing the replacements of relief goods.
DTI-10 Regional Director Linda Boniao shared the agency will accept any complaints regarding this matter saying “right now, our personnel at the Lanao del Sur Provincial Capitol are currently distributing livelihood assistance and we also put up a grievance desk for those who have complaints.”
The DTI set up a complaint section during the starter kits and school supplies distribution.
To further address the grievances of the IDPs, the DTI office in Iligan City is also accepting complaints from the home-based IDPs.
IDPs can bring the expired goods and those items about to expire to the DTI’s complaints sections.
Boniao encourages the IDPs not to consume or sell the expired items.
DTI is committed to replacing all the expired and about to expire products. (LJKabagani/PIA ICCC)
