MARAWI CITY, Oct. 18 — Eighteen cooperatives from Malimono-Dulay Agrarian Reform Community here received various common service facilities (CSF), farm equipment, garden tools and inputs from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR) during the 14th Kawiyagan held at City Hall Complex on Wednesday, Oct. 16.

MAFAR Minister Mohammad S. Yacob led the distribution together with the MAFAR Deputy Minister for Policy, Planning, Evaluation and Monitoring Ammal D. Solaiman, partner and other stakeholders.

One hundred sixty-three agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) from the three cooperatives received 1 unit of 4WD tractor 90HP with farm implements, 1 unit corn sheller, 1 unit rice thresher and 2 units hand tractors.

Moreover, 15 farmer-cooperatives also received eight units of 4WD tractor 35HP, three hand tractor cultivators, two units cassava grater with a presser, 1 unit cassava granulator, 1 unit cassava chopper and garden tools with vegetable seeds.

Further, Minister Yacob encourages the farmers to use the farm equipment to maximize production and land utilization.

Kawiyagan (Livelihood) is a monthly activity of the local government of Marawi, Task Force Bangon Marawi and all partner-agencies to showcase the synergy of organizations in distributing and providing livelihood assistance to the city residents. (JYusoph/MAFAR-BARMM)
