MARAWI CITY, Oct. 22 (PIA ICCC) — In line with the commemoration of the second anniversary of Marawi liberation, the National Housing Authority (NHA) started awarding free architectural and engineering design/plans to homeowner-residents in the most affected area (MAA).
From Oct. 15-17, 2019, NHA assisted the homeowner-residents of MAA, who had already given consent to demolish their damaged houses from sectors 1 to 7, in crafting architectural and engineering design/plans of their houses or structure.
Architects and engineers from other NHA offices were deployed in Marawi to help the affected homeowners.
“Nagapapasalamat kami sa NHA dahil nagbigay sila ng libreng plano sa mga taong naapektuhan sa MAA,” said Laut M. Alauya of Brgy. Moncado Kadingilan, Sector 3 of MAA.
(We thank NHA for providing us building plan and design for free.)
Alauya also reminded her fellow MAA residents not to lose hope and endure all challenges in life and to follow the processes with guidance from the agencies.
The MAA residents started processing their applications for the repair or construction of their houses/structures beginning July 30, 2019 through “Kathagombalay.”
The building design and plan are one of the requirements for “Kathagombalay,” which will be submitted to the Office of the Building Official.
A one-stop shop was established at the Marawi City Hall for the processing of the applications. For now, the homeowners/structure owners from Sector 3 are being accommodated. (LEAntonio)
