MARAWI CITY, Feb. 6 (PIA ICCC) — A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between the Task Force Bangon Marawi (TFBM), Kilos Kabataan Livelihood Foundation Inc (KKLFI)., Ittihadul Madaris and Madrasatu Mipaga Al-Islamia of Barangay Mipaga here to promote digital education in Madrasahs.
The pilot e-learning program will be implemented first in the Madrasatu Mipaga Al-Islamia with KKLFI donating 10 sets of computers for the Madrasah students.
“This is to emphasize that we want to share quality education for everybody… and equal opportunities in digital education,” KKLFI President Kristin Bangot said.
Meanwhile, Marawi City Mayor Majul Gandamra cited the significance of Madrasahs in teaching Islamic values in the city.
“My sincerest thanks to our partner for the valuable support for the madrasah. With this project, we wanted to strengthen the good teachings of Islamic values in the Madrasah,” said Gandamra.
TFBM chair and Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development Secretary Eduardo del Rosario also emphasized that TFBM does not only focus on the building of infrastructures in MAA.
“We can see that the construction of infrastructures is not only the projects of TFBM but also social services such as education, health services and so forth,” del Rosario stressed.
To recall, the Madrasah was turned-over in November 2019 as a joint project of TFBM and the Organization of Socialized and Economic Housing Developers of the Philippines Inc. along with private partners. (LEAntonio/ PIA ICCC)
